Our barista course is an informal, relaxed and practical course with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and practice your new learned skills. You do not need any specific prior knowledge. Our classes are taught by our senior barista and aimed at both the professionals to increase their knowledge and sharpen their skills, home enthusiasts who want to improve their coffee making and for those who already are or wish to be in the HORECA industry.

You will learn...

Introduction to the history of coffee.
The journey from the green coffee bean to your cup of coffee.
Fully hands-on introduction to the workings of a professional espresso machine.
How to calibrate and set your grinder correctly.
Learn the recipe for the perfect espresso extraction.
Milk steaming (micro foaming) and texturing to make the perfect latte art coffee drink.

Duration

The course lasts for about 2 hours most of which is directly on the machine. Course is limited to 4 persons max. You will receive a course manual and a bag of Monks delicious coffee to take home.

When?

This course is run on Wednesdays at 16:00. It may be possible to book other times but depends on availability.

Where?

Training is at Monks Coffee Lab at Bilderdijkstraat 46. The facility is fully equipped with professional equipment to give you full hands on practical experience.
