About the Java
This is an incredibly rich coffee from Java we are so thrilled to have in our selection. A cupping score of 88 points is well deserved.
Sun-dried under the natural process, this coffee bursts with passionfruit and crisp red apple, edged by a delicate violet floral note. The finish is bright and juicy, true to its method.
The Natural process begins with a selection of fully ripe cherries, pulped to have 70% of mucilage remaining before being dried in the sun for 21 to 28 days until the moisture content is below 12%. After resting for two months, the beans are hulled and sorted for size, density and further sorted by hand for quality. After sorting, the green beans are promptly packed for freshness and flavour.
