An informal, relaxed and practical introduction course to the fundamentals of roasting coffee with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and be directly involved in demonstrations. You do not need any specific prior knowledge. Our classes are taught by our head roaster and are aimed at the home enthusiast who wants to increase their knowledge of and skills, and also for those who may wish to pursue a career in the coffee roasting industry.

- Roast your own coffee on our IKAWA sample roaster.
- Learn the fundamentals of cupping.
Duration
The course lasts for about 2.5 hours and is limited to 4 persons max. You will receive a course manual and a bag of Monks delicious coffee to take home.
When?
This course is usually run on Thursdays at 18:00 and is subject to availability of the coffee roaster
Where?
Training is at Monks Coffee Lab at Bilderdijkstraat 46. The facility is fully equipped with professional equipment to give you a complete practical experience.
