An informal, relaxed and practical course with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and practice your new skills. You do not need any specific prior knowledge. Our classes are taught by our senior baristas and is aimed at both the home enthusiast who wants to increase their knowledge and skills, and for those who already are or wish to be, in the HORECA industry.
You will learn...
- Introduction to coffee history.
- The journey from the green coffee bean to your cup.
- Hands-on introduction to the workings of a professional espresso machine and grinder.
- Espresso extraction and grinder calibration.
- Milk steaming (micro foaming) to make the perfect latte art coffee drink.
Duration
The course lasts for about 2.5 hours, of which 2 hours are practical. Course is limited to 4 persons max. You will receive a course manual, certificate of participation and a bag of Monks delicious coffee to take home.
Where?
Training is at Monks Coffee Lab at Bilderdijkstraat 46. The facility is fully equipped with professional equipment to give you full hands on practical experience.
